WANTED: 500 LOTUS OWNERS
Thursday, March 27, 2014 - 15:00
Lotus Owners required at Hockenheim to be part of a world record attempt for the most Lotus cars on track.
In an effort to beat the current world record for the most Lotus cars on track, we are now calling all Lotus owners to join us this year at the Hockenheim Historic (Jim Clark Revival) event where a challenge to the current record will be made.
The most Lotus cars ever on track was recorded back in June 2009 when 436 of Colin Chapman’s finest sports cars took to the Snetterton Race Circuit in Norfolk completing 3 laps of the 3.1232km track and setting the current record.
Now, a new attempt will be made at the Hockenheim GP Circuit at the annual historic Lotus festival which draws Lotus racers, fans and enthusiasts from all around the world and which will be held from 11-13th April 2014. The weekend-long event will see historic Formula 1 racing and will also host the first round of the 2014 Lotus Cup Europe enthusiast race series. Supported by the Lotus Club network the events organisers are looking for 500 Lotus cars to take to the track during the record bid which will take place on the 12th April at 19.00hrs.
If you would like to take part and create your own little piece of Lotus history please contact alexandra.edinge@hockenheimring.de
